This is such a pretty little spot just near The Shingle Mill Pub & Bistro. I've painted there with oils and this day used digital painting to capture the wild grey skyscape and the dark fir trees which make up the West Coast world I inhabit here in British Columbia, Canada.

It was a very blustery day and I drew from inside my car with my blanket on my lap. Plein air painting inside my car is MUCH safer with digital painting than with oils! Watercolors work well but not oils or acrylics, not in MY car anyways...

Lots of layers of digital watercolor wash, marker effects and gel pen.
