Travel photography, dramatic storytelling. I travel with my Panasonic LUMIX DMC-LX7 around my neck constantly, grabbing as much color saturated travel photography as I can. I like to play with aspect ratio and artistic filter right when I’m shooting so little or no work is done later in Photoshop.
Of course I take a lot of photographs as reference and inspiration for travel paintings back in the studio and with practice, my eye for cropping, bold composition and vibrant color has really been refined.
I’ve been luck enough to pack my suitcase for Mexico, England, France, South Africa and Japan. I wonder where my next travel photography destination will be? Early 2018 found me studying Spanish and working hard at plein air painting in Guanajuato, Mexico. Spin the globe… where will I go next year?
Of course, this was all before Covid-19....
